NEWSLETTER- September 2008

Firstly thank you to all our families for their support during term two. Attached is the holiday program information, term three dates and invoices for term three; payable during the first week of the term please. It would be appreciated if you would let us know if your child will not be attending in term three.

WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING AT JUMPING JACKS

• The club hosted Camp Quality; providing a free fun day for families and carers
• Continued participation in the Active After School Community Program with the following schools: Illawarra, Emmanuel Christian School, Sandy Bay Infant School, Collinsvale and Holy Rosary Claremont
• A number of schools utilised the Jumping Jacks Trampoline Club for vacation care programs and part of their sporting curriculum: Lauderdale, Kingston, Sorell, Dunalley Neighbourhood House, MacKillop College, Richmond, Malunna Child Care Centre, Lindisfarne North Kindergarten, St Aloysius, Bridgewater High School, Sacred Heart, Dodges Ferry, and Immaculate Heart
• We have been supporting Adults with Disabilities; the Parkside Foundation have visited our facility for eleven weeks during term two and we have a young lad that attends weekly with his carer to provide him with some exercise
• The club has run two very successful in-house competitions, providing an opportunity for our younger, non-competitive athletes together with some of our competition athletes to ‘have a go’ and have something to work towards – thanks again to everyone who have supported these events
• The Junior Elite Diving Club has continued to utilize our facility for dry land training, four mornings per week
• Four dedicated trampoline athletes have been meeting on Wednesday mornings to do strength and conditioning training with the Elite Diving coach
• Birthday Parties have been very popular during term two and our facility has been used for the Trampoline Sports Judging Course and State Trainings
